Policies

The Tutoring Place requires 24-hour cancellation notice to ensure that scheduled tutors can be notified and/or reserved time slots can be given to other students.  We reserve the right to charge students for missed appointments.

The Tutoring Place does not offer refunds.  Instead, in the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with an appointment, your next appointment is on us.

Payment is due at the time of each appointment.  We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.  Regular customers can fill out a credit card authorization form that we can keep on file and use for weekly or monthly billing.

In the event that payment is not received at the time of the appointment, The Tutoring Place will send out an invoice marked “Due on Receipt.”  Invoices will be considered past-due after 30 days, and we reserve the right to charge late fees and/or interest on late payments.  We also reserve the right to submit unpaid invoices to a collections agency.

For the privacy and security of both tutors and students, tutors and students are not allowed to share personal contact information with each other.  If a student needs to contact a tutor (or vice versa), that should be done through The Tutoring Place.  We are always more than happy to forward emails, et cetera, when necessary.  Similarly, all scheduling needs to be done through The Tutoring Place instead of the individual tutor to ensure that scheduling conflicts do not occur.

The Tutoring Place is locally/independently owned and operated and is not affiliated with any other businesses, organizations, or agencies at this time.  The Tutoring Place is registered as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with the State of Texas.
