Grammar Workshops – 3 hours – $80
In our Grammar Workshops, we walk through a book (provided) that is designed to be read individually in 90 minutes. By doubling this amount of time, we will be able to walk through the book as a group, discuss the concepts, and carefully examine example sentences. Topics covered include the parts of speech, the sentence (words, phrases, clauses, kinds of sentences), and more. Students will be able to keep a copy of the text in order to review it on their own. Writing Workshops – Two 3-hour sessions – $175
In our Writing Workshops, we work through a book (provided) designed to introduce students to the art of rhetoric. The purpose of the workshop is to show students how to craft a good essay from start (invention) to finish (revision), and everything in between (organization and style). Students will write their own essay during the workshop, engage in peer-review of student essays, and have their work edited by the tutor. Students will be able to keep a copy of the text in order to review it on their own. A tentative schedule is posted below. Call or email us to sign up.

Summer Reading Reviews, 2 hours – $75
Schedules for Summer Reading Reviews are posted no later than the 1st of August before the start of every school year. We also offer reading reviews during the school year on request. Please feel free to call or email us with questions or for more information.
Study Skills Seminars, 2 hours – $75
Students will start the new school year off on the right track with this seminar. We will focus on organization skills, time management, note-taking, test anxiety, and study skills as well as learning styles, stress management, catch-up skills and memorization aids.
These seminars are typically offered the week before school starts or during the first week of school. If your student needs help with study skills during the school year, we can either work with him or her on a one-on-one basis or set up a group review session for your student and his or her friends.
AP Exam Reviews, 2 hours – $75
These reviews will prepare students for the standardized AP exams offered by the College Board. A review schedule should be posted shortly after Spring Break, reviews will be offered at the end of April and beginning of May, and the AP exams are administered by the College Board during the first two weeks of May.
Semester Exam Reviews, 2 hours – $75
These reviews will follow HPISD curriculum, but final exam reviews for other schools can be arranged upon request. The subjects and times listed are NOT inclusive of Pre-AP, AP, Advanced, Honors, etc. Reviews for Pre-AP or AP subjects, as well as reviews for any subject not listed below, can be organized upon request. We want at least 5 students in each group review and will try to limit reviews to 10 students (and will try to set up a second review if necessary).
